Stretching Contradiction or is it Contraindication

Everybody knows studies have shown that regular flexibility exercises help maintain your range of movement as you age.  After more than 40 years of research at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, have concluded that, "Static Stretching" decreases strength by 5% and explosive power exercises muscular performance which is necessary during box jumps, ply-metric training, and certain weight training exercises.  Static stretching makes tendons loose, like a rubber band, losing elasticity so the time needed to transfer energy to initiate movement takes longer.  So what is the new suggestion?  Back to Old-School methods for warm-ups such as jumping jacks, which uses the most neglected plane of motion in the human body the "Frontal plane"; and high straight leg kicks which ignite the (Sagittal plane of motion) activating the muscles that will perform during the workout.
